Maple City (Virtual) Walk Pumpkinvine Nature Trail

Goshen Parks & Recreation

The 2020 Virtual Maple City Walk is like the traditional Maple City Walk except you choose the date and time that is most convenient for you and start walking!

Choose your own 10K, 21K or 42K route or the one we had planned on the Maple City Greenway and Pumpkinvine Nature Trail.

If you want to follow our route start at the Clover Hills building at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds between Gate 5 and 6, continue straight on the Monroe Street Trail, cross Monroe Street at the marked pedestrian crossing, turn right onto the Prairie Trail, turn right at the T intersection onto the Abshire Trail heading toward Middlebury. Cross Lincoln Avenue onto the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail.

The halfway mark for the 10K is CR 28 and the halfway mark for the 21K is CR 33. Walk the 21K route twice to do the full marathon or continue on the Pumpkinvine to the halfway mark which is 2 miles past the Dairy Queen in Middlebury.

You will have 0.75 miles of county roads between CR 20 and CR 35.

Bring your own water and snacks. There are portable toilets along the route.

Maintain a safe walking distance between you and others and make sure to post a picture of yourself at the finish line! See the Goshen Parks and Recreation Facebook page for details on ordering a special Maple City Walk medal.
